Christian Figueroa, MGM Paso Finos LLC. Professional Trainer:

The love for Paso Fino Horses was not only evident at a very young age, but it has also been in Christian Figueroa’s blood for many generations. Christian Figueroa is a third generation Paso Fino trainer whose family has a long history involved with and promoting the Paso Fino breed.
His family which originated from Puerto Rico, has been one of the more involved families within the breed. Christian’s grandfather, the great Cunda Figueroa, was the first inductee to the Paso Fino Hall of Fame in Puerto Rico. In addition, he has served as the President of the Association in the Dominican Republic and imported some of the first Paso Fino horses to the United States from Puerto Rico.
Christian’s father, Eduardo Figueroa, is also a Paso Fino trainer and Senior Certified PFHA judge here in the United States. In 1998, Eduardo had the honor of judging the 1998 PFHA Grand Nationals in Perry, Georgia. In addition, Eduardo also trained and won multiple National Champion titles as well as working with the famous Marichalo Royal, who he trained to win 5 National Championships.
Christian’s uncle, Cese Figueroa, was the first recipient of the PFHA Trainer of the Year in 1988 . He also had the honor as one of the first inductees into the PFHA Hall of Fame.
Christian carries on the family tradition winning multiple National Championship titles. He has also been instrumental in the success of many of his Amateur Owners and Youth riders clients winning National Championships. In 2006 he participated in the Youth Mundial lending his expertise with youth to support Team USA in the competition.
